Official OCC Trail Ride
Below is a brief outline of the requirements for an Official OCC Trail Ride.
This is basically a high-level list of the requirements that will evolve over time. The board has the discretion to decide if a trail ride is an Official trail ride based on its findings.
Events such as Big Dogs and Camp Heep have been authorized by the board in the past to be official trail rides (hence OCC sponsored) as long as two (2) members were on the same trail. Of course, the prospective member must know the names of the OCC members and talked to them while on the trail or at the event. Note that these events are not automatically official trail rides. The board, at its discretion, can decide that these events no longer qualify as official trail rides.
For multi-day trail rides/events such as Big Dogs, they will only count as a Single Trail Ride for membership for a perspective member.
There are many situations that may arise in the future that may not be covered above. When these situations come up, the board will address them as needed.
