It is an open event. You can be a prospective member and attend. Family is welcome of course.

The club provides you the main portion of lunch- dogs, burgers, other meats, buns, and condiments. If you are leaning towards healthy conscious choices or other dietary needs, you are welcome to bring those as you choose. We'll even grill it for you, if you don't mind the intermingling with other foods. There will be basic drinks- water, Gatorade, soda, and juice boxes which is especially for the kids.

We will be holding the Juyly 2011 OCC meeting @ 1:00 at the Picnic.

Please take a look at the database to help guide you on a side dish/desert to bring. A variety of sides will appeal to most everyone. It's not a problem if 5 folks bring the same thing- just looking to avoid 20 million of the same food item.

If you can help setup- and clean-up...it would be greatly appreciated. There is not a whole lot of that to do, but a few folks who can arrive early and few who can hang out till the end would be much appreciated. Some volunteers to man the grills would be excellent also. I'm adding these to the datatbase, so please amend your entry as related.

Further, I have one offering of a small grill. If anyone else can arise to the cause, that would be fantastic. Ideally, two large grills would be best. It's just for doing lunch.

Finally, a note regarding alcohol consumption. The summer picnic is a family event. If you choose to bring and/or consume alcoholic beverages- you are on your own to do so, and be responsible about it. This includes before, during, and after the picnic. OCC will absolutely not be liable for any incident involving alcohol.

The Summer Picnic is a great event- lots of fun and chance to meet more of the membership...old and new alike. Hopefully you can mark it on your calendar now and be able to attend- even if you just stop by for awhile. Don't forget your favorite folding chair.

Location:  Ken Moore's place.
